Blogs For Lawyers With iPads

iPads are becoming popular with attorneys as more legal applications become available.  If you have an iPad you might be interested in seeing these blogs.   Both have a lot of information about apps and how lawyers are using their iPads.

iPhone J.D.  published by Jeff Richardson, an attorney in New Orleans is “for lawyers using iPhones and iPads”.  It made the ABA’s Blawg 100 list for 2010 which is an indication of its quality information.  One of his best posts is from June 15th and is his advice to lawyers who want to get iPads.  It includes a discussion of choosing the model you want and then discusses some of his top iPad apps for lawyers such as Fastcase, GoodReader and Dragon Dictation.

WALKINGOFFICE The Apple iPad Blog For Attorneys is published by Rob Dean, a state prosecutor in Virginia.  Check out his categories at the top of the page which include Apps and “New iPad? Start Here”.  The Apps category is broken down into legal research, presentations and taking notes among others.  The legal research section has a post about Fastcase on the iPad and the presentations section has a post about the new TrialPad 2.0 app and a post about virtual legal practice with the iPad.
