Man of Mystery

September 16, 2011 Leave a comment

Those of you frequenting the PCL may have noticed that there is one more person in the second floor offices.   Who is this unassuming, yet quietly confident, man of mystery?  A squatter who is trying to claim a piece of the library by adverse possession?  An undercover CIA agent? The Scarlet Pimpernel?  NO to all of these!   He is Dan Freehling, retired law librarian and law professor and recent Deputy Consultant for the ABA, and he  will be visiting for the 2011 -2012 academic year.   Since he makes his home in Pittsboro, he will be here, he will be there, but should not prove too elusive for those seeking him. While Dan is sure to have a word of welcome for those stopping by his office, students seeking help with their LAWR assignments would do better to locate their research professor or one of the other law librarians.
